Provide an overview of the approaches to international law and some of the critical bodies and institutions involved in the international legal system.
Discuss the sources of international law (treaties and customary international law), subjects of international law (identifying rights and obligations of States, IOs, NGOs, individuals), the institutional framework (UN, WTO, regional agencies, etc.) and dispute resolution framework (courts, arbitration tribunals, conciliation, as well use of sanctions and force)
Facilitate comprehension of international regulations in territorial security, trade, environment and maritime domains ( through case studies)
Promote understanding of the development of international law in response to contemporary challenges ( through case studies)
